New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Amid the growing political crisis in the state, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has called a meeting of all Congress MLAs and ministers at 9 pm at his residence in Jaipur on Sunday.

“The meeting has been convened at 9 pm on Sunday at the CM’s residence,” HT quoted sources as saying in a report. “Apart from the party MLAs, other supporting legislators have also been invited for the meeting,” it added.

The news comes after Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot along with 12 of his loyalist MLAs arrived Delhi today amid talks of "game plan to topple the government". Several Congress MLAs are also reportedly holed up in Haryana’s Gurugram.

Earlier in the day, several ministers and Congress party members including Revenue Minister Harish Choudhary, Labour Minister Tikaram Jully, Health minister Raghu Sharma visited Gehlot's residence in Jaipur to extend support to him and express confidence in his leadership over a widening rift with his deputy Sachin Pilot in Congress-led Rajasthan government. In the emergency cabinet meeting which was skipped by Sachin Pilot, the CM discussed the prevailing political situation in the state.

However, the internal conflict in the party turned uglier after two notices were sent "simultaneously" by The Special Operation Group to the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot on Friday. The notices were sent to record their statements in an alleged case of bribing the MLAs to topple the Congress government in the state.

The developments came among the allegations charges by CM Gehlot accusing the BJP of trying to topple the Congress government in the state by using money to lure his MLAs on Saturday. The Rajasthan chief minister alleged that the BJP is offering his MLAs between Rs 10 and 15 crore to switch sides.

"Whether it is Satish Poonia or Rajendra Rathore, they are playing games to topple our govt on the behest of their central leadership. They are offering Rs 10 cr in advance & Rs 15 Cr after govt is toppled... these are the kind of promises they are making," Gehlot said.

The BJP, however, dismissed these allegations and claimed that there was "infighting" within the Congress and the CM was trying to pin blame on the Opposition. "It is the Congress's own infighting but Ashok Gehlot wants to blame BJP. He is a veteran leader of the Congress and his pain is justified because the Congress has shrunk in the country," BJP's state president Satish Poonia said.
